ABOUT THE ROLE

Innocap's Investment Team is looking for a Specialist who will be responsible for analyzing and providing insightful analysis on various aspects of your client's absolute and relative return investments. You will act as an extension of the client and maintain relationships with portfolio managers and other key investment and risk staff at the client's organization. The Specialist will ensure that Innocap's investment analytics are providing the necessary investment intelligence and risk transparency.

The Specialist's primary responsibilities include to:

Enhance the client selection, allocation, and monitoring process:
  • Generate quantitative analysis that strengthens client understanding of key risk and performance drivers across hedge fund and mutual fund trading strategy spectrum.
  • Develop true insights transparency and reporting of absolute return strategy risk and return profile.
  • Identify what a given portfolio's sensitivity is to various market movements using holdings-based full revaluation risk models that produce Value at Risk, Stress Testing, Sensitivity Analysis, and Greeks across all asset classes.


Develop strong client engagement:
  • Implement and monitor a robust risk monitoring management framework, including investment guidelines and applicable regulatory limits, risk limits and other exposure-based limits.
  • Ensure that the fund adheres to the liquidity risk ("days to cash") management requirements for all types of financial instruments, including derivatives.
  • Use data to create a story. Create impactful visual displays of quantitative and qualitative information.


PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Desired seniority level: 5+ years of relevant experience within the alternative investments industry.
  • Strong knowledge of absolute return strategies and the investment industry, including performance measurement and key risk metrics.
  • Advanced knowledge of holdings-based risk analytics engines, such as Axioma, BlackRock Aladdin, Risk Metrics, Barra, or FactSet, and Liquidity Risk Models, such as Bloomberg LQA or ICE.
  • Experience developing insights and dashboards from disparate datasets utilizing Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau.
  • Familiarity with SEC Rule 18f-4 Derivatives Risk Management programs and SEC Rule 22e-4 Liquidity Risk Management programs is an asset.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and determined, with a proven ability to stay organized and manage work in a timely manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate information to internal and external stakeholders.
