Role:
The Head of Risk Account Line Management will lead a dynamic team of analysts and oversee risk decisions across existing customer management campaigns. This role is pivotal in ensuring that Mercury Financial achieves the right balance of risk management and growth while enhancing the customer experience. What a day is like:
- Begin by reviewing performance dashboards for recent campaigns, assessing key risk and financial metrics
- Engage with your team in a strategy session to design a new Credit Line Increase program tailored to emerging customer behavior trends
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to align risk strategies with customer experience objectives for an upcoming product graduation initiative
- Lead a meeting with senior leadership to present insights and recommendations for optimizing ADHOC campaign criteria based on recent data analysis
- End the day mentoring analysts on advanced modeling techniques and best practices in campaign execution
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of risk analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
- Develop and execute risk management strategies for existing customer management campaigns, including:
- Credit Line Increases (CLI)
- Product Graduation
- Card Upgrades
- ADHOC campaign criteria and custom segmentation - Oversee the design, implementation, and performance monitoring of campaign strategies to ensure alignment with corporate risk appetite and business objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Operations, and IT, to integrate campaign strategies seamlessly
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and risk metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaign strategies, identifying areas for optimization and improvement
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in risk management to ensure Mercury Financial remains a market leader
- Prepare and present regular updates to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
You're perfect for this role if you:
Required
- A bachelor's degree in business, finance, data analytics, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in risk management, analytics, or a similar field within the financial services industry
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams of analysts or similar roles
- Expertise in credit risk management strategies, including customer lifecycle management and campaign execution
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to make informed decisions
- Has SAS and or SQL coding experience to be able to analyze data and provide guidance for team
- Proficiency in statistical tools, data analysis platforms, and campaign management software
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- A strategic mindset with the ability to balance risk management with business growth opportunities
