POSITION DESCRIPTION

Currently, HGL is seeking an experienced Project Controller to support our Maywood, NJ FUSRAP Team.

Responsibilities/Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

The person hired for this role will be responsible for:

The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of project control activities that are confidential and complex in nature. You will be required to work with the project manager to create and maintain cost, schedule and budget for a multi-year, multi-million-dollar project. You will be communicating with other employees, vendors, subcontractors, peers and clients on a regular basis. Essential functions include creating and maintaining project financial budgets, records and forecasts to ensure project resources are properly managed against baselines and planned outcomes. Will participate in the development of invoices, review and tracking of certified payroll reports, and the planning, tracking, analysis and reporting of multiple task orders under the contract.

Required Skills

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

The ideal candidate will need the following as a foundation for success in this role:
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience with cost, schedule analysis reporting, fee analysis, EVMs reporting, including tracking EAC/ETC and other financial analysis for complex government projects.
  • AA degree in business administration, accounting, finance or project management is the minimum education requirement. Will consider directly related work experience as possible offset to a formal degree.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to have excellent communication and organization skills, ability to work with and maintain confidential information, advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong math and analytical skills in review of financial and contractual documentation.
  • Ability to learn financial management system and working knowledge of Earned Value and Estimates at Completion.

WHAT YOU NEED TO STAND OUT
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience working with Deltek, Cognos or similar financial tracking and reporting software. Experience working on DoD CPFF contracts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and developing and maintaining complex project schedules with resource loading.
