The Manager, Supplier Performance & Quality leads a team of Supplier Performance Managers (SPM) and Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE) to ensure optimal supplier performance and maintaining high-quality standards across the supply base. This position also plays a key role in building strong supplier relationships, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring the highest levels of quality and reliability in the supply chain. In addition to leading SPM and SQE professionals, this position will interact with internal cross-functional groups, customers, and suppliers to define, coordinate, and deploy improvement activities utilizing appropriate project management and improvement tools and techniques. These activities are achieved via monitoring and detection initiatives including onsite audit/assessment, as well as monthly and quarterly risk reviews of suppliers.
Travel specifictity
Travel will be required for this position and is estimated to be 10-25% of time

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement robust supplier performance metrics and evaluation frameworks.
Monitor supplier delivery performance, compliance with contracts and adherence to commitments.
Identify and address underperformance through corrective action plans and improvement initiatives.
Build collaborative relationships with key suppliers to foster long-term partnerships.
Conduct regular business reviews with suppliers to discuss performance and improvement opportunities.
Define and implement supplier quality standards, procedures, and evaluation criteria in line with organizational goals and Safran requirements.
Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with Safran quality requirements.
Manage non-conformance issues, including root cause analysis, corrective action plans, and preventive measures.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and ensure product consistency.
Work closely with procurement, operations, and engineering teams to align supplier performance with organizational needs.
Support new product introduction processes by ensuring supplier readiness and quality alignment.
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supplier performance and quality specialists.
Set clear goals, assign responsibilities, and monitor team performance against KPIs.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence within the team.
Candidate skills & requirements
Education: Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field of study
Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in Supplier Performance Management, Supplier Quality Assurance or a related role
Skills:
Strong knowledge of quality systems, standards, and auditing practices.
Experience managing supplier relationships and driving performance improvements.
Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage, develop, and motivate a team.
Full understanding of operational excellence: Supplier Performance or Development within a purchasing/logistic/quality industrial organization.
Expert in leading improvement workshops - Quality/Lean Tools such as FMEA, 8D, 5W, Ishikawa, etc.
Other Skills:
Basic operational experience within a purchasing/logistic/quality industrial organization.
Demonstrated project management skills within manufacturing environment.
Solid operational experience: Supplier Performance or Supplier Development within a purchasing/logistic/quality industrial organization.
Experience in leading improvement workshops - Quality/Lean Tools such as FMEA, 8D, 5W, Ishikawa, etc.
Demonstrated strong negotiation skills
Advanced problem-solving skills - ability to analyze a problem and determine potential root causes in a timely fashion to make calculated risk decision when ambiguity can be a factor.
