Position Summary
Responsible for system-wide coordination of outpatient wound care.
Education
Bachelor's degree nursing
Licenses and Certification
Current Illinois RN license
BLS
Experience and Skills
Technical Experience: 5 years nursing, 3 years wound care
Supervisory Experience: 1 year
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Word; able to navigate through internet, intranet and internal clinical outcome database.
Role Specific Responsibilities
Develops and implements system-wide outpatient wound care program.
Establishes standards of care, competencies, policies and procedures for wound care.
Provides training to hospital staff to assess pressure ulcer risks and wounds, recommend appropriate interventions, and advocate with physicians.
Consults with physicians regarding evidence-based practice for wound management.
Collaborates with wound care team and vendors to maintain a cost-effective wound care formulary.
Develops and implements tools to ensure effectiveness of the wound care program.
Work with marketing and Director with communication plan to grow the wound care program.
Works closely with inpatient wound care team to provide full continuum of wound care.
Compensation (Commensurate with experience):
$80,080.00 - $128,128.00
