OVERVIEW

Automox is looking for an experienced Senior Director of Technical Program Management to champion the effectiveness of our Engineering team as they shape the future of R&D operations. This role is an incredible opportunity for a TPM leader to grow and scale the only IT operations platform that gives customers the ability to act - quickly and easily - on any endpoint.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Align: Provide strategic leadership and cross-functional program execution to align our R&D program initiatives with the overall company strategy and goals.
  • R&D Portfolio Management: Oversee the planning, execution and delivery of a portfolio of SaaS engineering programs ensuring each contributes to the company's objectives on time and within scope.
  • Organizational Design & Optimization: Partner with engineering leadership to assess and evolve the organizational structure to support scalability and efficiency
  • Capacity Allocation: Make strategic decisions about resource allocation across multiple programs and conduct detailed analysis on team performance and program outcomes.
  • Process Improvement: Drive process improvements and standardization across the R&D organization and its partners, tracking success metrics throughout any operational improvement and adjusting accordingly.
  • Leadership Development: Mentor and develop program managers, people managers and directors across the organization. Support efforts to uplevel and upskill talent through targeted development programs, coaching and process improvements to foster a high-performing engineering culture.
  • Executive Operations Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor to engineering leadership, facilitating key planning and communication efforts and acting as a critical link between leadership and teams.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and stakeholders across the company from executives to cross-functional teams.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Develop and maintain clear communication frameworks, enabling transparency and alignment across senior leadership, engineering and cross-functional partners

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
  • 10+ years of Program management or technical leadership with SaaS products in the cybersecurity market
  • Experience leading a distributed team of program managers and developing a collaborative team culture
  • Ability to connect with both technical and business audiences through strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence diverse teams across engineering, product and business functions
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leadership to drive organizational priorities and decision-making
  • Strong understanding of team dynamics, org design principles and strategies to drive engagement and performance
  • Experience working with complex SaaS technical architectures
  • Ability to facilitate complex problem solving across cross-functional teams
  • Strong knowledge of Agile Frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, etc.) and tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
  • Proven ability to drive world-class execution.
  • Strong knowledge of the Software Development lifecycle
  • Self-starter and solution-oriented personality

LOCATION

We are a fully distributed company of remote workers with concentrated hubs in Austin, TX, Tampa, FL, and Boulder, CO. We are in the process of establishing small collaboration spaces in these locations to provide opportunities for in-person discussions and team building when needed.

The salary range listed is the base pay range for this position. In addition, the total compensation package includes bonus, equity and benefits. Actual earnings may be less or more depending on a candidate's direct experience, skills, industry knowledge, and location.
