The Department of Corrections is currently recruiting to fill a Psychologist Chief (Internship and Training Director) position. This position can be headquartered at various locations depending on the region. Possible headquarter locations are below.

Position Summary
This position is responsible for the overall coordination of training and programming of the Doctoral Internship Program in Health Service Psychology. This position is responsible for overseeing the internship program, including participating in the National Matching Service System for the selection of interns, ensuring compliance with the standards of the American Psychological Association (APA), the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC), and the DAI Handbook of the Doctoral Internship in Health Service Psychology. The director provides clinical direction, supervision and training to interns. In addition, the director coordinates site placements, provides consultation to interns and site clinical supervisors, and arranges training events. The director ensures that clinical training and supervision meets program requirements. The director acts as a liaison to graduate program training directors, providing updates on each intern's progress through the program. The director completes required documentation and statistical reports for APPIC and the APA's Commission on Accreditation and is responsible for ensuring the program maintains accreditation.
This position is also responsible for the planning, development, and coordination of training for Psychological Services staff. This position identifies and responds to the learning needs of PSU staff, evaluates the effectiveness of education, and implements and evaluates clinical competencies to meet the mental health needs of the incarcerated population. This position ensures compliance with the APA Office of CE Sponsor Approval to continue provide Continuing Education credits for PSU staff.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule and range 81-02 with a starting base pay of $65395 to $120390.
Candidates in possession of a Doctorate of Psychology (or equivalent) may be eligible for supplemental pay of an additional $6.00 per hour and $5.00/hour add-on for WI Psychologist License.

Pay rates on appointment for current state employees may vary according to the applicable pay transaction provisions of the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code.
A two-year Career Executive trial period will be required, or for those with permanent status as a Career Executive, a twelve-month probationary period may be required instead.

Qualifications
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
Must possess an active Wisconsin Psychologist license at time of employment. This license must remain active during employment.
Must obtain certification in CPR by the American Heart Association and training in use of the AED within three months of hire and maintain certification throughout employment.
Must possess a valid driver's license at time of hire and will be required to meet State of Wisconsin fleet requirements.
