Director of Operations:
The Director of Operations collaborates with the Business Operations Director and the Chief Patient Services Officer (CPSO) to oversee patient access, service delivery, and operational excellence at Sunrise Community Health. This role fosters a positive patient experience, promotes teamwork, and ensures alignment with the organization's mission and vision. The Director provides leadership across multiple sites, ensuring the effective management of healthcare delivery, operational processes, and staff performance.

Position Summary:

Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide day-to-day leadership and direct supervision of Clinic Managers and department supervisors, ensuring smooth and effective operations.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and patient-centered care to enhance patient interactions and uphold the goals, values, and vision of Sunrise.
- Collaborate with providers, clinical staff, and community partners to improve patient access to care and health outcomes using a team-based approach.
- Work closely with the support staff and supervisors to ensure policies and procedures are followed consistently across departments.
- Interdepartmental Communication: Actively engage in interdepartmental meetings to address mutual concerns and resolve operational challenges.
Operational Oversight & Process Improvement
- Ensure the effective training, staffing, and scheduling of support staff for optimal clinic flow.
- Oversee the development and adherence to operational policies and procedures, ensuring consistency across departments.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement successful changes that enhance operational efficiency. Ensure supervisors and leads are monitoring staff performance, tracking progress toward departmental goals, and recognizing achievements.
- Monitor patient access goals, quality measures, and departmental budgets, recommending necessary resources for operational stability.
- Coordinate with IT to manage software upgrades and address system changes to support operations.
- Conduct quality audits and implement training and corrective actions to maintain consistent and accurate practices.
- Collaborate with the CPSO to ensure smooth reporting processes, staff evaluations, scheduling, and departmental meetings.
Patient Experience & Problem Resolution
- Address patient and operational issues promptly, promoting continuous service improvement and satisfaction.
- Actively engage in interdepartmental meetings to address mutual concerns and resolve operational challenges.
Strategic Planning & Reporting
- Assist the CPSO in developing and implementing strategic plans and organizational initiatives.
- Support grant-related activities, including reporting and meeting grant obligations.
- Budget Management: Monitor departmental budgets and recommend necessary resources to ensure financial stability and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with leadership on system-wide projects such as Emergency Preparedness, PCMH, and accreditations.
Community Engagement
- Represent and promote Sunrise Community Health at community events and functions, building partnerships that support organizational goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) in Business Administration, Business Management, Health Care Administration, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university. Alternatively, 4 years of professional-level work experience in Business Administration or a related field may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical clinic management or a related field.
- Experience leading a management team is preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
