IAS is looking for an energized and flexible self-starter to fill a full-time opening for a Supply Chain Logistics Manager 2.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Supply Chain Logistics Director, Supply Chain Manager 2 takes a lead role with operations to help with successful implementation of SAP. This role is also responsible for rail fleet management. Key responsibilities include IntelliTrans system manager and trainer, maintain rail rates in ERP system, ensure compliance with owned and leased fleet, maintain detailed records on rail cars, facilitate rail car compliance inspections and certifications to comply with Federal Regulations, monitor daily railroad EDI activity and provide prompt problem identification and solutions, and troubleshoot problems and delays.

Position Responsibilities:

- Ensure compliance with owned and leased fleet
- Maintain detailed records on rail cars
- Facilitate Rail Car compliance inspections and certifications to comply with Federal Regulations
- Monitor daily railroad EDI activity and provide prompt problem identification and solutions
- Troubleshoot problems and delays
- Improve asset utilization and efficient movements
- Adhere to and follow established transportation policies, procedures and objectives
- Accounts payable processing and troubleshooting of freight payables
- Demonstrate awareness of rail needs and establish policies and practices to effectively meet those needs through feasible solutions
- Track, dispute and mitigate demurrage charges
- Analyze economics and oversee chemical and latex purchases and plant distributions
- Takes a lead role in operations to help with a successful implementation of SAP and transition to more central procurement processes company wide.
- Leads procurement activities, including sourcing, contracting, order management, and supplier development for strategic product and service categories for non-stock procurement.
- Proactively works to resolve conflicts both internal and external to the organization.
- Effectively communicates and coordinates activities with internal customers.
- Analyze market trends to forecast material needs and potential cost fluctuations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree desirable.
- Three years of supervisory or lead experience.
- Seven years of related experience, education, or certification
- Three to five years' experience with end-to-end supply chain process
- Experience utilizing business data systems including ERP, data visualization and data reporting tools and the Microsoft Suite of applications.
- Proven experience in purchasing, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and a track record of successful supplier management.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.
