JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing capital projects, ensuring the effective management of budgets, forecasts, and financial performance. Support project managers, finance teams, and stakeholders to drive financial transparency, accountability, and deliverables aligned with the organization's strategic goals.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the development and continuous refinement of financial processes for tracking and managing IT capital projects within the PMO.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure that project financials are reviewed regularly and accurately reflect actual vs. planned expenditures.
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting for portfolio of IT projects.
  • Monitor financial performance across IT projects, ensuring alignment with budget and timelines.
  • Financial reporting on project status, including cost variances, project forecasts, and potential risks.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess financial performance and risk management.
  • Prepare financial analysis and reports for senior leadership to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Review and validate capital expenditure (CapEx) requests and change orders to ensure they are within budget and meet financial requirements.
  • Conduct financial due diligence for new capital projects, assessing cost drivers, ROI, and funding sources.
  • Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential cost overruns or delays.
  • Serve as the primary financial liaison between project teams, senior leadership, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide financial insight and advice to project managers, helping them make informed decisions and stay within budget.
  • Facilitate regular financial review meetings with key stakeholders to assess progress, address issues, and share insights.
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree

FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field

EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, with a focus on capital projects, preferably within a large, complex organization.
  • Experience with cruise line industry preferred.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
  • Excellent planning and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Corporate and business reporting expertise.
  • Working knowledge of governance, risk and controls, management accounting.
  • Strong ability to build rapport with internal stakeholders.
  • High standards of ethics and professionalism.
