Description:
The Head of Continuous Improvement is responsible for the continuous improvement program and the management of investigations and CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions) for the Operations group at the Candiac site.
Acts as a change agent and participates in the action plan for the annual employee survey. Develops, leads, and participates in setting the objectives for the Candiac site.
Manages the cost reduction program. Captures value-added initiatives. Identifie improvement opportunities.

Responsabilities:
- Monitor daily KPIs for initiated and closed investigations as well as the progress of CAPAs. Prioritize investigations based on releases. Define the mitigation plan in case of interim measures.
- Participate and promote the continuous improvement culture
- Deploy continuous improvement concepts, focusing on reducing non-value-added activities.
- Develop and support the site's strategic vision.
- Provide technical support for production support.
- Work with finance and department heads to deploy and maintain a dashboard to evaluate progress against objectives and ensure follow-up on the action plan (POA) to prevent recurring deviations.
Material Resource Management:
- Responsible for management of production support team, problem resolution and process improvement activities for marketed products for Candiac site.
- Applies and enforces standards in terms of health, safety and the environment.
- Plans and organizes the utilization of resources including equipment and labor to optimize the execution of operations support and meet the delivery dates for external customers.
- Participates in the preparation and review of the budget.
- Reinforces the knowledge of site around injectables processes
- Support strategic projects in terms of expertise and work with the PMO office for proposal quotation.
- Collaborates with the finance department for COGs processes
Quality and compliance management:
- Ensures that the operations are described in the procedures and that these conform with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), as well as Canadian, American and European standards.
- Approves investigations and CAPAs when required.
Human Resource Management:
- Manage, motivates and develops team members to achieve team goals.
- Is responsible for the performance management of the employees under his responsibility and ensures set objectives are delivered.
- Applies and ensures compliance with health and safety rules; develops health and safety culture at plant level.
Continuous improvement management:
- Defines performance indicators specific to the team.
- Optimizes current processes and establishes new robust ones.
Cross-sector coordination:
- Ensures coordination with support sectors when necessary; during the implementation of new products, new equipment and/or problem solving.
