Description

The Vice President of Heart and Vascular Services is responsible for developing and aligning the strategic vision and infrastructure to successfully build and execute clinical programs of extraordinary quality that will drive growth, operational efficiency and financial performance, ensuring that Baptist Health South Florida is the premier destination for cardiac and vascular services in all communities it serves.
Specific Responsibilities:
In collaboration with system leadership, entity CEO's, physician executives and medical leadership the responsibilities of the position include, but not necessarily limited to, conducting the following activities:
Strategy
  • Develop and implement the strategic vision for the Cardiac and Vascular Service Line.
  • Align the Cardiac and Vascular Service lines strategic initiatives with the broader goals of Baptist Health, ensuring consistency in mission and vision across departments.
  • Partner with other service lines and departments on joint initiatives, such as quality improvement projects, cost-containment, education & research endeavors, and community outreach programs.
  • Explore and implement innovative care models and services to meet the evolving needs of patients and the community.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the Cardiac and Vascular Service Line and attract new patients.
  • Monitor and analyze local and national trends in cardiovascular care to inform strategic planning.
Operations
  • Oversee the operations of the Cardiac and Vascular Service Line.
  • Ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness across all facilities within the service line.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational performance with a focus on continuous improvement.
Financial and Budgeting
  • Develop and manage the annual budget for the Institute
  • Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to achieve financial targets.
  • In collaboration with the Finance Office, prepare financial reports and present them to senior leadership.
  • Ensure cost-effective utilization of resources while maintaining high standards of care.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficiency measures without compromising patient care.
Leadership and Collaboration
  • Collaborate with the CEO Champion and Chief Medical Executive to align service line initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on cardiovascular care trends and issues.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, transparency, and innovation within the service line.

  • Master s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
