Summary:
As the Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing operation by providing tooling, processes, equipment, etc. needed and is done through coordination of a technical staff assigned to provide for the needs of the shop operation. This position will also have responsibility over the maintenance dept and will provide knowledge and guidance to maintenance technicians on installation, troubleshooting, repair, improvement of process equipment and procedure adherence.

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $118,000 to $145,000. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education. Summary:
As the Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing operation by providing tooling, processes, equipment, etc. needed and is done through coordination of a technical staff assigned to provide for the needs of the shop operation. This position will also have responsibility over the maintenance dept and will provide knowledge and guidance to maintenance technicians on installation, troubleshooting, repair, improvement of process equipment and procedure adherence.
Your primary activities will include but are not limited to:
- Coordinates and helps manage the installation of new machines and equipment and process changes to provide the most efficient and economical manufacture or assembly of quality parts.
- Provide training, development, and motivation for a staff capable of completing objectives and implementing cost reduction projects that meet/exceed the manufacturing and assembly process requirements.
- Ensures optimum utilization of equipment and space by coordinating the layout of areas such as storage areas, test equipment, etc. to accommodate the changing production requirements.
- Coordinates release dates and availability of machines and equipment and material to maintain schedules and satisfy demand.
- Establishes standards and works with shop personnel to resolve problems related to process, tooling, equipment, etc.
- Ensures implementation of modern technology and follows to determine effectiveness of equipment and systems.
- Establishes and then monitors general policies and guidelines for projects under his/her control, to ensure specific management goals are met and desired results are achieved.
- Establishes and maintains preventative maintenance program to ensure all facility and processing equipment is properly maintained to allow for maximum production availability.
- Coordinate capital projects for process enhancement and to improve customer satisfaction.
- Keep abreast of industry changes by attending product demonstrations and identify ongoing improvements in processes and technologies to better serve our customers.
You'll need the following (minimum qualifications):
- Technical or University Degree Manufacturing, Engineering or related discipline
- 4+ years manufacturing experience and/or maintenance experience
- Experience with Gummy and/or Candy Manufacturing
- Knowledge of various engineering, manufacturing and/or maintenance standards and practices.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, machine maintenance manuals and electrical diagrams
- Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver on time and on plan.
- Sound written, oral, presentation and influencing skills.
- High level of curiosity and investigative mindset with attention to detail.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to take initiative and drive creative ideas forward.
- Ability to thrive and adapt in a high growth, rapidly changing environment
- Passion for collaboration and ability to align multiple stakeholders
- Extensive knowledge of the planning system, manufacturing operations, facilities, methods and tooling (preferred)
- Experience in applying Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and/or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles (preferred)
- Previous leadership experience in Maintenance or Manufacturing Engineering environment (preferred)
