TITLE: Senior Consultant - Multiple Positions (Altman Solon US, LP)
LOCATION: Boston, MA (A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with company policies.)
DUTIES: Play a critical role in leading teams. Guide day-to-day activities of one or more project workstreams, managing teams of analysts and consultants across activities such as market sizing, business model development and other quantitative analyses. Create workplans, set deadlines, and delegate work. Lead junior staff in designing financial and operational models and conducting primary and secondary research gathering activities, including surveys and expert interviews; quality check work; and provide feedback. Generate frameworks and structure client's business problem into logical manageable components that will guide their growth strategy. Assume a key role with clients as the day-to-day contact. Support ongoing business development efforts and build client relationships. Prioritize key questions, develop hypotheses addressing questions, formulate full project storyline, and distill key information into executive narrative. Lead deck development and presentations on key findings and recommend to clients. Summarize data-driven insights into executive-oriented key takeaways and recommendations. Lead or structure market sizing analyses, which includes identifying, measuring, and quantifying marketplace issues and opportunities such as market size, share, and growth potential for the client's business. Position supervises one (1) to four (4) Analysts and/or Consultants (varies by project).
REQTS: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in the position offered, as an Analyst, or a related position. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field plus one (1) year of experience in the position offered, as an Analyst, or a related position. Employer will accept pre- or post-Master's experience. Must have three (3) years (or one [1] year with a Master's) of experience with all of the following: Analyzing financial statements and investment reports leveraging standard research platforms including S&P Global or Capital IQ; Analyzing large datasets (hundreds of thousands of rows) using specialized tools, including Tableau or R, to discover insights, formulate hypotheses, and answer key client questions; Creating maps of geographic boundaries and networks through geometric information systems platforms, including QGIS or ArcGIS; Creating, launching, and analyzing quantitative surveys aimed at consumers or decision makers using specialized survey tools including Sawtooth; Conducting live interviews with subject matter experts to obtain key takeaways related to market trends and competitive dynamics; Utilizing statistical models and theories to validate and forecast financial performance; Developing original frameworks and strategies and associate detailed work plans to advise on customer segmentation, go-to-market strategies, and churn reduction initiatives; and Building macros in Microsoft Excel with VBA to automate parts of the modeling process and improve modeling efficiency.
SALARY: $187,250 - $200,750 per year
HOURS: Full-Time (40 hrs/week); Mon-Fri
