What You'll Do:

Reporting to the Senior Director, Total Rewards & Operations, the Manager, Benefits & People Operations will be responsible for owning and optimizing the people operations function, as well as management and administration of Kailera's benefit programs. This role is responsible for all processes which drive the employee lifecycle, from onboarding through offboarding, while ensuring that all operations are aligned in supporting the business, with a focus on continuous improvement and automation efforts. The manager will administer the full range of benefits for employees, resolves employee benefit problems and communicates benefits coverage to employees.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive operational excellence across all people operations functions, including onboarding/offboarding, HRIS management, and employee data governance.
  • Develop, implement and execute scalable processes to support the growth of Kailera, ensuring a seamless employee experience.
  • Own all day-to-day administration of employee life cycle processes, including onboarding and offboarding.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance HR technology solutions that streamline workflows and improve operational capabilities.
  • Process updates to employee data in ADP and manage electronic personnel files to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Manage full lifecycle of benefit, retirement and wellness programs, overseeing implementation, communication, enrollment, monthly billing and administration. Lead annual Open Enrollment process from preparing documentation to ensuring system configuration and establishing integrations with vendors as needed.
  • Manage relationships with benefit plan providers, brokers, third-party administrators, and other relevant vendors.
  • Administer leave of absence programs, supporting care for employees is clearly defined and in compliance with policy
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment and benefits regulations, including but not limited to; FLSA, ACA, ERISA, FMLA, PFML, Pay Transparency, Secure Act, etc.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with Finance, Payroll, IT, Legal and other internal departments.
  • Support other People & Culture initiatives as needed.


Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in People & Culture, 2+ years of direct experience in HR operations and benefits administration.
  • Experience in a fast-growing biotech company preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple functional areas in a collaborative, team environment
  • Must be detail-oriented, analytical and have a systems thinking approach to problem solving, understanding how things affect one another in an overall system
  • Strong working knowledge and experience using ADP WorkForceNow
  • Track record of balancing priorities to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience or eagerness to be part of a fast-growing organization
  • Willingness to 'build the plane while flying' and comfort with ambiguity


Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

At Kailera, we are committed to fostering an inclusive culture. How we treat our people is reflective of this commitment. We share the pay range for this particular role with the actual base salary depending upon factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, market factors, and experience.

Salary Range

$110,000-$140,000 USD
