COMPENSATION

Salary Range ($71,142 - $100,976) (Grade H)

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is accountable for assisting in the management, coordination, development and production of efficient and reliable train timetables and crew work programs for NYCT subway lines and subway employees. Prepares supplemental timetables and work programs for temporary Subway route diversions and special events. Analyzes and evaluates ridership data on subway operations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED

Five years progressively responsible transportation experience, one year of which must have been in the schedule department of a large transit authority or firm, two years of which must have been in a supervisory or managerial capacity; or

A bachelor's degree in management, engineering, mathematics, planning or transportation planning, or their equivalent, and four years full-time paid experience in such areas, of which two years must have been in the transportation industry; or

Education and experience equal to the above.

PREFERRED

Knowledge of the routes and operating practices of the subway networks that comprise the NYC Transit system.

Knowledge of MTA NYCT rules, regulations, policies and procedures

DESIRED SKILLS

Experience in schedule making related to subway operations.

Knowledge of automated scheduling data processing systems.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills.

SELECTION METHOD

Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.
