Working directly with customers to provide quotes, schedule testing, act as oversight as needed on a project-to-project basis, working directly with Range Managers/Operations Manager to ensure projects are ran smoothly from start to finish. Role will also include hands on testing as needed depending on level of experience needed. Role will include OTJ training of current staff in firearms/ammo/ forced entry testing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management
- Manages, plans, and controls individual projects through their entire life cycle from new to completion
- Must move projects from initiation to closing as quickly as possible while keeping costs at or below quoted amount
- Takes complete ownership of projects within the assigned book of business. Ownership entails:
- Focusing on delivering business value to EUSSAD and our customers
- Fulfilling our commitments and customer needs
- Understanding project success means ensuring the project is completed on-time, within budget and within scope
- Responsible for ensuring project-related tasks are completed including outsourced, IJO, supplier-based tasks
- Engaging and communicating immediately with stakeholders (ex: customer, DM, GM, etc.) regarding anything impacting project success
- Holding other stakeholders (ex: Department Managers, technicians, etc.) accountable to deliver their portion of the project
- Planning to meet project goals given any constraints
- Ensuring scheduling meets customer needs and expectations
- Coordinating the flow of work through the facility with Customers and Department Managers
- Implementing corrective actions when projects become distressed
- Consistently using the best practices of project management
- Establishing collaborative and mutually supportive relationship with those responsible for operations
- Striving to make operations successful
Quoting
- Develops, writes and reviews quotations for new and existing accounts, which includes:
- Optimizing price on quotations by setting the most appropriate strategies for a particular situation with the goal of positioning EUSSAD to win the work
- Assisting in the day-to-day overall quoting process assuring the quotations are accurate, complete and delivered on time
- Help prioritize to meet schedules
- Address/resolve any quote issues
- Participates in weekly meetings with facility GM, AEs and Sales to review open/pending quotes
- Actively involved, works with AEs, Sales (RSMs and CSRs) and GM to review quoting process and to ensure appropriate winning strategy on quotes. Answers technical questions from Sales personnel and potential clients
- Support the overall quoting process to increase bookings and meet national goals
- Maintains an in-depth technical knowledge of all EUSSAD services, current awareness of the business objectives, unique strengths/competitive advantages and current capacity utilization for each type of service provided by all NTS facilities and markets
Technical Lead
- Test Design:
- Reviews project proposals/plans and develops technical test objectives
- Designs test procedures and specifications
- Perform Testing:
- Provides SME support as tests are conducted and ensures that all necessary data is captured
- Monitors tests per specifications, interacts with customers if needed, troubleshoot, document all pertinent data. Often mentors less experienced Technicians in the process
- Data Processing - after test completion, verify, review, document all pertinent data; finalize data
- Other - perform other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess the ability to gain a clear understanding of customer requirements and develop complex project solutions involving existing EUSSAD resources
- Sound knowledge of testing business in areas such as Environmental, Mechanical, Dynamics Vibration/Shock or EMI
- Knowledge of customer service principles, techniques, systems, and standards is required
- Must be able to sell testing and engineering services to prospects using the sales and testing tools from EUSSAD; address contract management and COS potential
- Strong customer interface skills are a must
- Ability to develop and conduct formal presentations and make cold/warm calls on an on-going basis
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have superior time management skills and committed to meeting deadlines
- Ability to develop, plan, and implement short and long term goals
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with limited direction from management
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
- Understand the EUSSAD life cycle phases of a project
- Knowledge of facility's core business (ex: Environmental testing, Dynamics testing, EMC testing, etc.)
- Applies professional judgment and company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
- Familiar with financial controls; quoting, pricing, and negotiating
- Skilled in prescribed internal tools for scheduling, ERP, and MS Office
- Able to use all standard and complex Ballistics equipment; able to accurately capture necessary data
- Strong mathematical skills and understanding of AC/DC circuits
- Contributes to the development of concepts and techniques; highly advanced understanding of complex Ballistics & Mechanical principles; advanced knowledge of all potential aspects of safety
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- AA Degree; BA/BS preferred or equivalent industry experience
- 8+ years' experience in the laboratory testing field; experience with costing and quoting for Environmental, Mechanical, Dynamics Vibration/Shock or EMI testing strongly desired
- Project management experience required
