AHCA/NCAL is seeking a Director of Regulatory & Quality Services to improve lives by delivering solutions for quality care by informing, coordinating and implementing AHCA's policy actions and strategies relating to regulatory & quality matters. This role will develop member education and resources in the areas of survey, guidance, regulation, and enforcement and will assist the Senior Director of Regulatory and Quality Services in survey/regulatory analysis and policy development. The regulatory related work of this position incorporates quality improvement wherever possible.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's Degree required. A minimum of 5 years' experience in policy analysis, federal and/or state long term care regulation, guidance, survey, enforcement, required. Work experience in post-acute/long term care strongly preferred. Administrator or Director of Nursing experience preferred. Experience in an association or other membership organization preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Monitor, respond to, and maintain current knowledge of federal regulatory developments in survey, guidance, regulation, and enforcement and intersection with quality improvement.

Develop key materials and participate in federal agency advisory or stakeholder groups.

Assist AHCA's leadership on issues of survey, guidance, regulation, andenforcement.

Analyze survey trends/data, guidance, enforcement processes, and regulatory policy for content and impact on the LTC profession and residents and provide recommended solutions where needed.

Inform and educate AHCA members on survey trends/data, guidance, regulation and enforcement processes, developments and their potential effect through written analysis and publication in various AHCA venues.

Develop and deliver presentations on regulatory and quality topics at AHCA and state affiliate conferences and conventions.

Formulate AHCA comments to federal agencies using a consensus of member response.

Staff the Survey/Regulatory Committee and other work groups and committees as needed. Provide technical assistance on regulatory issues and coordinate meeting planning, execution, and follow-up.

Some travel required.

Other duties as assigned.
