Summary:
A member of the technical project management team, the Technical Project Engineer II plans, organizes, and executes plant equipment engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and coordinates project resources and project execution according to requirements. Supports technical efforts, applying technical expertise and engineering analysis to plant projects. The Technical Project Engineer II is responsible for delivery of plant engineering initiatives on time and on budget. This individual will need to be self-sufficient in tackling operational challenges and have a strong ability to create practical solutions independently.
This position reports to the Technical Project Manager and is responsible for projects in Verdi, NV and support of projects in Paramount, CA. This is full-time position based out of Verdi, NV.

Major Job Duties:
As a key member of Weber Metals your duties include but are not limited to:
- Plan for plant infrastructure upgrades and repairs, maintaining schedules and developing budget cost estimates for projects.
- Responsible for planning and executing small to medium Capital Expenditure Projects, staying within budget and schedule.
- Support engineering and technical efforts on plant projects, using engineering knowledge to problem solve and develop solutions to technical issues.
- Conducts regular meetings with departments to communicate project status, challenges, and escalation requirements when necessary.
- Support engineering design and analysis of machinery and systems, in support of maintenance efforts.
- Develop project implementation plans and coordinate project team and maintenance resources for successful execution.
- Coordinate vendors and contractors for projects, overseeing on-site activities and adherence to project timelines.
- Maintains budgets and adjust according to needs as they arise.
- Tracks performance and analyze the completion of key goals.
- Take a supportive role to ensure compliance in all environmental, safety and facility security.
- Assist with the implementation of annual shutdowns and commissioning of equipment projects which may include working during weekends and holidays.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to comply with ITAR and EAR residency requirements.
- Capital project management experience of large-scale projects.
- Demonstrate technical knowledge of:
- Mechanical systems
- Electrical systems
- Hydraulic systems
- Predictive and preventative maintenance
- Environmental rules and regulations
- Knowledge & understanding of mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Experience designing mechanical components preferred.
- Familiarity with state and local building codes and standards.
- Goal oriented and a demonstrated ability to continually prioritize tasks, and work under pressure with sensitivity to deadlines.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical preferred)
- 3+ years' experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a forging environment.
