Senior Buyer Indirect

The Senior Buyer Indirect is responsible for all operational and strategic purchasing activitieswithin the given sub-commodities while delivering cost savings and ensuring compliance with overallYFAI objectives, strategies, and BOS procedures. Is responsible for the management of all supplierswithin the sub-commodity group

Responsibilities

General

• Guarantee compliance with BOS and SOX procedure for all Team / Group Members

Indirect Purchasing:

• Lead development and implementation of commodity strategies for assigned commodity
• Support appropriate purchase-to-pay (PTP) processes
• Support to implement strategies and actions to reduce/consolidate suppliers, in line withagreed targets
• Support implementation of Global Commodity strategies
• Support proactive cooperation with other regions, to leverage volumes and common supplier sourcing
• Implement strategies and actions to achieve FY (Fiscal Year) cost reduction goals, including PO-to-PO (Purchasing Order) reductions and rebates
• Support accurate and timely reporting of key measurables
• Improve working capital through optimum payment terms
• Implementation and continuous improvement of standardization activities
• Support business by presenting and implementing best business practices within your commodity
• Customer service to support all customers for your commodity

Qualifications

• Commercial or technical degree
• In-depth understanding of purchasing tools and practices
• PC knowledge (MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Controlling and cost analysis knowledge
• Relevant QAD knowledge preferred
• Experience and expertise in industry, market, or commodity

Work Experience

• 5+ years within automotive or commodity related industry
• 2+ years as CommodityBuyer preferred
• Packaging experience preferred
• Purchasing experience, operational and strategic involvement
