We are seeking a dynamic Full Stack Development Engineer to join our versatile systems engineering team that is on a mission to build out enterprise and customer facing applications focused on automated hardware configuration, order processing/delivery, customer facing APIs, customer facing portals, and workflow/process automation. As an ideal candidate, you will have a background and gravitation toward building applications that interact with hardware systems across hardware manufacturers as well as contributing to internal application and order processing system build outs.

The base salary range for this full-time position in the US is $100,000 - $130,000annually + bonuses + benefits. Redapt salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. As an ideal candidate, you will have a background and gravitation toward building applications that interact with hardware systems across hardware manufacturers as well as contributing to internal application and order processing system build outs.
Your day-to-day:
- Lead and contribute to engineering efforts from planning and organization to execution and delivery.
- Investigate and solve complex engineering challenges in process and workflow automation.
- Design and build advanced automated systems for configuring data center infrastructure.
- Develop and modernize customer-facing APIs and web portals, adhering to scalable, secure, and platform-agnostic implementation best practices.
- Collaborate with managers to analyze and modernize existing applications, ensuring seamless migration to new frameworks.
- Design, implement, and manage data integration pipelines using tools like SSIS or PETL.
- Build applications end-to-end, following Agile methodologies to deliver iterative, high-quality software.
- Ensure integration with third-party services and frameworks, including SAML 2.0 for web authentication and integrations.
- Utilize cloud technologies (AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP) to deploy applications.
- Analyze and decompose complex software systems, identifying areas to improve design and functionality.
What you will bring to the team:
- Extensive knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and database systems (MySQL/SQL Server).
- Strong computer science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and problem solving.
- Proficiency with modern JavaScript libraries/frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue) and experience in building responsive, dynamic UIs using modern front-end frameworks and tools.
- Advanced experience building scalable and secure APIs while adhering to platform-agnostic best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, follow through on projects, and pay attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience in iterative development environments.
How do you Qualify:
Must-Have:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Experience: 5-10 years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Strong expertise with Linux-based custom OS development and troubleshooting.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in Unix/Linux environments (e.g., CentOS, RHEL).
- Expertise in data integration tools like SSIS or PETL.
- Advanced experience with Chef and/or Ansible, with additional professional application experience in tools like Puppet or Salt.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) and modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C/C++, C#, or Ruby).
- Experience with web integrations such as SAML 2.0 for authentication.
- Working knowledge of AWS Cloud (certifications preferred) and other public cloud technologies (Azure, GCP).
- Proven experience in modernizing and re-architecting applications to new frameworks (e.g., React, Django)
- Ability to design and deliver end-to-end applications following secure, scalable, and platform-agnostic principles.
- API security practices, such as OAuth or OpenID Connect
Good-to-Have:
- Additional experience with Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform).
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Hands-on experience with front-end tools like TypeScript or Webpack.
- Background in working with APIs that interact with hardware systems or IoT devices.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
