About The Role

Kidango is seeking a strong digital marketer with a passion for early childhood education to join as the Digital Engagement and Annual Fund Manager. This brand-new position is a lynchpin for the organization's new long-term fundraising strategy. In this role, the Digital Engagement and Annual Fund Manager will drive the development of a sustainable donor pipeline. They will author and execute a digital marketing strategy to generate the donors required to maintain the pipeline.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the digital marketing team's overall scope of work, ensuring all planned digital activities deploy on time, on budget, and achieve targeted fundraising results. They will set the targets for all digital activations, in alignment with the overall fundraising strategy, and develop a plan to improve donor acquisition and retention efforts.

The successful candidate will execute all digital marketing activities with an eye towards longer-term prospect cultivation and ensure the development of a robust donor pipeline. In this capacity, the successful candidate will monitor the journey of new donors acquired via digital channels and adjust their journey, as needed, to ensure a sustainable pipeline of major gift prospects.

What You'll Be Doing

Digital Marketing and Fundraising
  • Develop a digital marketing strategy with the Director of Development and Director of Marketing, to attract and retain donors, and cultivate Kidango donors.
  • Develop best-in-class creative for fundraising efforts, overseeing the copy and creative review processes.
  • Write, copy and create other in-house content, as needed, for Kidango's various donor audiences.
  • Continuously seek to improve results, leveraging A/B tests and other tools to optimize fundraising efforts to new and existing donors.
  • Manage relationships with agencies, vendors, and other third parties involved with digital marketing and fundraising activities, as needed.
  • Manage budget for all digital marketing and fundraising activities.
  • Ensure Kidango's brand is well represented in all digital fundraising activities.

Community Fundraising Strategy
  • Develop and execute the overarching fundraising strategy and creative direction of the Annual Fund program to acquire, retain and upgrade donors.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive donor cultivation strategy that promotes engagement and connection with donors at all levels, which aligns with the overarching fundraising strategy.
  • Develop a donor pipeline using digital advertising to targeted groups.
  • Develop a deep understanding of what motivates each donor segment through continuous testing of best practices; share findings regularly across the Development & Marketing teams.
  • Manage all Annual Fund individual fundraising programs, including direct mail, email marketing and telecommunication campaigns and monthly giving, and serve as the primary liaison for vendors.
  • Launch Kidango's new monthly giving strategy, growing the file to drive sustainable long-term revenues.
  • Support development of proposals for major donors and corporate partners, as needed.
  • Write and oversee the design of compelling and effective email solicitations and stewardship pieces for all Annual Fund donors. Write and edit copy for donor-facing audiences.
  • Manage relationships with agencies, vendors, and other third parties involved with Community Fundraising strategy, as needed.

Internal Collaboration and Program Coordination
  • Work collaboratively with the development team to ensure the Community Fundraising program is an effective pipeline for other giving opportunities.
  • Work with the development team to measure, analyze, and report on fundraising and program performance to inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with the Development Operations team to ensure that all donor communications, including direct mail, acknowledgment letters, welcome series, and other stewardship pieces are effective, timely, and on budget.
  • Work closely with the Marketing and IT departments to ensure electronic communication adheres to brand guidelines and shares one voice.
  • In partnership with Marketing and IT departments, ensure Kidango's online giving experience is best in class.
  • Proactively engage with Kidango's marketing and program delivery teams to maintain a robust content library for use in communications to donors.

Preferred qualifications
  • Five to seven years of nonprofit experience with annual fund/direct response experience.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience writing creative and impactful communication that inspires donors to give.
  • Proven success deploying campaigns to market across multiple channels.
  • Experience establishing KPIs for marketing and fundraising campaigns and building processes to evaluate their success.
  • Strong critical thinking that can be translated into clear recommendations that increase fundraising success.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline driven role.
  • Proven track record working in a collaborative team environment.
  • Significant level of computer proficiency including Google, MS Office, Feathr, Classy, Hubspot. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Salesforce a plus.
  • Experience managing budgets and forecasting results.
  • Bachelor's degree in a directly related field preferred.


Compensation

$131,040-$131,040 USD
