We are looking to hire a Human Resources Manager to support our growing global workforce. Reporting to the Senior Director, Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager will work to support and implement HR initiatives that align with the company's business objectives. This role will focus on managing day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, benefits administration, payroll, and compliance. The HR Manager will play a key tactical role in ensuring that all HR processes run smoothly and in compliance with company regulations. The Senior Director will oversee HR strategy and leadership, while the HR Manager will execute and manage the daily HR functions to support the growing company.

This is a hands-on role that requires an organized and detail-oriented HR professional who thrives in operational HR duties while working collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Payroll & Benefits Administration
  • Collaborate with the finance team and Senior Director, Human Resources to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time.
  • Track PTO, wage adjustments, and bonuses, and ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
  • Manage the day-to-day administration of health, retirement, and wellness programs, including open enrollment, employee inquiries, and vendor coordination.
  • Assist in reviewing and making recommendations on annual renewals.
  • Support partnership with our Employer of Record (EOR), Atlas, and provide guidance for our UK/Europe based team.

HR Policy, Compliance & Reporting
  • Oversee the maintenance of accurate employee data in the HR system. Ensure records are up-to-date for payroll, benefits, and compliance reporting.
  • Ensure the timely completion of mandatory reporting, such as EEO-1, ACA, and 5500 filings, with support from the Sr. Director of HR.
  • Ensure that the company remains in full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Manage required filings, wage and hour compliance, leave administration, and record-keeping.
  • Execute and implement HR policies developed by the Sr. Director of HR.
  • Ensure that policies are consistently applied across the organization and communicated effectively to all employees.

Employee Relations
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee relations matters, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and conducting investigations when necessary.
  • Provide tactical support to managers and employees on HR-related issues.
  • Set a positive tone for employee communications and be a resource for the organization

Performance Management
  • Support the implementation of the annual performance review process by providing tools, resources, and operational guidance to managers and employees
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director to ensure alignment with company goals.

Employee Lifecycle
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on onboarding process, including orientation, new hire paperwork, and HRIS system setup.
  • Lead offboarding process, manage exit interviews and ensure compliance during the offboarding process.
  • Assist in executing initiatives that promote employee engagement and reinforce company culture. Support surveys, feedback collection, and employee engagement programs.

Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of experience in a generalist HR role, with a focus on operational HR responsibilities.
  • Experience managing employee relations, benefits administration, payroll, and compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems; experience with Paylocity is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to build trust and maintain positive working relationships at all levels of the organization.

The base compensation range for this role is $120,000-$140,000 annually. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, as well as access to our comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) plan (with matching contributions), wellness benefits and all other benefits afforded to full-time Breakthrough employees.
