Superlanet is currently looking for an Academic Medical Center Departmental Technology Project Manager to support a healthcare organization in Texas. This will be a direct-hire opportunity that will require a significant amount of on-site. The Academic Medical Center Departmental Technology Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of critical technology projects for Departments across Healthcare Clinics, Medical Education and Research. This position will lead complex, department-level technology initiatives such as cloud application implementations, healthcare and medical device technologies, faculty development systems, research management technologies, custom developed applications, student information and curriculum management systems
A large mandate for this position is to support department-level healthcare technologies that complement and coexist within a larger Electronic Health Record ecosystem. Projects may include process mapping, systems analysis, project launch, application procurements, licensing, data migrations, configuration, identity management, system integrations, testing, training, go-live oversight, contingency planning, organizational change management, and transition to operations.

Requirements
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus and can be used to meet a portion of the experience requirements.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in Healthcare related technology project management, with most of that experience managing departmental or practice-wide projects such as: cloud application implementations, healthcare and medical device technologies, scheduling systems, imaging systems, electronic health record, faculty development systems, research management technologies, student information and curriculum management systems.
- Must have significant skills and experience managing project scope, charter, requirements, architecture, design, configuration build, licenses and identity management, data migrations, integrations, testing, training, go-live, contingency planning, plus all related communications and change management.
- Strong background in Academic Medical Center (AMC) environments or similar regulated sectors (e.g., healthcare, education, research).
- Solid understanding of healthcare information technology concepts (in an Academic Medical Center organization), including network topology, cloud deployments, security and compliance, data migrations, identity management, and integration technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications:
- ITIL, Agile, or other relevant certifications in IT service management and project management.
- Industry standard and application specific certifications (Epic, Genesys, HIMSS, Chime)
Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices in technology projects.
- Advanced knowledge of cloud platform technologies
- Experience in implementing large-scale enterprise information technology solutions in healthcare IT or similar regulated environments.
