Job Summary
The Pricing Manager is the owner of the company's pricing policies, processes, and terms for all non-contract pricing. This role is critical in driving profitability by ensuring that pricing strategies are aligned with the company's business goals and market conditions.
The Pricing Manager is responsible for managing, enforcing, and continuously improving pricing policies and terms. They will conduct regular analyses and market studies to optimize the company's pricing strategy and profitability. This position will have the authority to approve pricing deviations that are below established standards and provide leadership in the development of automation tools to streamline pricing workflows.
Essential Job Functions
Establish and Maintain a Commercial Pricing Catalog
-Develop and maintain pricing catalogs for OEM parts, spares (Aftermarket), and repairs.
-Update the Price Catalog bi-annually and communicate new pricing to customers.
-Ensure catalog pricing is compliant with company policies, contractual obligations, and gross margin objectives.
-Enhance SAP process to reference contractual, catalog, customer pricing using a systemic and controlled process as noted below.
Create, Implement, and Update Pricing Policies
-Develop, document, and communicate all company pricing policies and procedures.
-Ensure pricing policies reflect current market conditions, cost structures, and profitability goals.
-Provide training and guidance to sales teams and other stakeholders on pricing policies and approvals using Management of Change control for all updates.
Conduct Pricing Analyses and Profitability Studies
-Perform regular pricing analyses for both OEM and Aftermarket to ensure the company remains competitive while meeting profitability targets.
-Identify opportunities for margin improvement through price adjustments, customer segmentation, and product differentiation.
-Track and analyze pricing trends in the aerospace industry, including competitor pricing and market conditions.
Set and Enforce Pricing Controls in SAP
-Establish pricing thresholds and alerts in SAP to ensure pricing aligns with gross margin objectives.
-Implement automation of pricing workflows to reduce manual errors and improve efficiency.
-Develop and maintain pricing dashboards for visibility into pricing performance across product portfolios.
Manage Pricing Deviations and Approval Processes
-Act as the primary point of contact for all pricing deviation requests.
-Approve or reject deviations based on company policies, gross margin targets, and market conditions.
Perform Aftermarket Pricing Reviews and Updates
-Periodically review aftermarket pricing strategies to ensure alignment with market conditions and profitability goals.

Occasional travel between Mexicali, Grand Prairie and Irvine (less 25%).

-Ensure that material cost increases, labor inflation, and other relevant costs are passed on to customers as appropriate.
-Collaborate with Finance and Supply Chain teams to ensure pricing reflects the most current cost structures.
-Identified pricing pain points to target cost reduction focus areas to achieve margin objectives of the business
Support Commercial and Strategic Pricing Initiatives
-Collaborate with Sales, Contracts, and Finance teams to act as the pricing approver for strategic bids, contract agreements, and proposals.
-Develop and maintain tools for dynamic pricing to improve flexibility in customer negotiations.
-Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide pricing insights and guidance for commercial decisions.
Monitor and Report on Pricing Performance
-Track and report on pricing performance metrics, including revenue impact, gross margin performance, and win/loss rates.
-Provide leadership with regular reports on pricing trends, challenges, and opportunities.

Required Competencies
Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Scientific Discipline or equivalent.
5+ years of applicable experience in pricing management, preferably within the aerospace and/or manufacturing industries.
Experience in SAP preferred.
Aerospace industry and requirement knowledge & experience preferred.
Previous experience working with and/or for a foreign held company.
