The IT Data team is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with specialized experience in data extraction, loading, and warehousing to help us enable a best-in-class enterprise cloud data warehouse. You will play a pivotal role in developing and managing our data pipelines, ensuring the seamless centralization of data across various platforms.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines that are stable, efficient, and secure
- Work in Snowflake to build and manage cloud-based data warehouses and ensure data is accurate, timely, and reliable
- Build and maintain re-useable ELT pipelines that facilitate data extraction and loading from multiple sources
- Collaborate with business analysts, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide data solutions that drive decision-making
- Troubleshoot, monitor, and resolve data-related issues across the pipeline
- Provide guidance on best practices for data extraction and loading, and be a subject matter expert in Snowflake
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, ELT development, or related roles, with a strong focus on enterprise data solutions
- Deep understanding of enterprise data warehouse design, architecture, and optimization. Expertise in building and maintaining ELT pipelines using modern data engineering tools
- Proven expertise in designing, building, and maintaining robust ELT pipelines to integrate data from diverse sources (e.g., APIs, databases, flat files). Solid understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data transformation techniques
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL
- Solid knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, performance tuning, and optimization techniques
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, manage their own projects, and meet deadlines effectively
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. Familiarity with Snowflake-specific integrations and cloud-native data services
- Experience with other programming languages (e.g., Java, Scala, C#)
- 2+ Years of working in Snowflake
- Familiarity with tools like Apache Airflow, Talend, Informatica, or Azure Data Factory for data orchestration and integration
- Experience integrating Machine Learning into Data Pipelines
