About the role
As the Head of Outbound Business Development at Market Logic, you will lead the strategic development, execution, and scaling of a high performing outbound function in a complex B2B SaaS environment.
In this highly collaborative role, you will work closely with both our marketing and sales teams to refine targeting strategies, optimize engagement processes, and ensure prospects have a seamless, impactful experience from their first interaction with us. Your focus will be on meeting targets to drive our outbound demand generation targets including conversion rates of SQLs to Sales Opportunities.
By leveraging marketing touchpoints and outbound outreach, you will play a critical role in driving qualified sales conversations that result in new business.
To succeed in this role, you will need a deep understanding of outbound sales strategies, a track record of building and scaling teams, and experience driving pipeline growth in a B2B SaaS context. You will also be responsible for setting key performance metrics, optimizing outreach strategies, and coaching a team of sales professionals to achieve and exceed set targets.

- Market Understanding: You'll be able to absorb an understanding of the pain points our enterprise buyers experience and map out how best to apply our market insights into direct outreach messaging.
- Targeting Excellence: Working with our head of marketing and digital operations, you will create target lists based on our ideal customer profiles (ICPs) and focus outbound efforts where they'll have the most impact.
- Data-Driven Approach: Develop data-driven strategies to maximize outbound conversion to sales opportunity rates, combining insights from prospecting, sales analytics, and market research.
- Commmitment to results: As a senior member of our team, you will embrace taking on accountability for delivery the number of SQL leads generated and a high conversion rate into sales opportunities.
Operational and Process Excellence
- Scalable Playbooks: You'll be responsible for designing repeatable outbound playbooks with proven outreach sequences, messaging frameworks, and personalization strategies.
- Sales Tech Stack Mastery: You will optimize tools like HubSpot, Outreach, SalesLoft, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and intent tools like DemandBase.
- Integration with Marketing: Work closely with sales leadership to ensure alignment on goals, messaging, and execution across marketing, sales development, and account management teams
Leadership and Team Development
- Recruiting Talent: Hire, onboard, and develop a team of BDRs/SDRs who have the skills, mindset, and grit to succeed in outbound sales.
- Coaching and Mentorship: Continuously coach reps to improve messaging, objection handling, prospecting techniques, and time management.
- Team Culture: Foster a resilient team culture where setbacks are viewed as learning opportunities, and success is celebrated
- Performance Management: Establish KPIs (e.g., calls, emails, meetings booked) while balancing quality over quantity, with regular feedback loops and growth plans.
