The Division of Adult Institutions is seeking to fill two Warden positions, located a Kettle Moraine Correctional Institution (Plymouth, WI) and Wisconsin Secure Program Facility (Boscobel, WI).
Position Summary
Under the general supervision of the Assistant Administrators of the Division of Adult Institutions, these positions serve as the chief executive officer of the institution and are responsible for the planning, operation, direction and management of the institution. The incumbent is responsible for the operation of the multi-dimensional programs utilizing the directives and Administrative Rules of the Department of Corrections and the Statutes of the State of Wisconsin.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule/range 81-01 with an annual starting salary of $104,000 - $120,910. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A 2-year Career Executive trial period is required.

The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
Shift: Monday-Friday 7:45am-4:30pm
As public safety employees, remote work is not an option for these positions.

- Supervising staff including hiring, assigning/directing work, evaluation performance, etc.
- Implementing methods and techniques to organize and integrate security, education, treatment, and administrative activities into a coordinated and effective program.
- Managing and making decisions related to administrative functions, such as program planning, compliance, budget, and operations
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (i.e. local law enforcement, local governments, etc.)
- Managing public relations with a variety of agencies, organizations and members of the public.
- Management and/or supervisor experience in a correctional setting.
- Managing or supervising multi-disciplinary staff (i.e. security, social services, healthcare, etc.)
