Project Engineer

The GigaTexas Factory Engineering Team develops the most advanced factories on Earth at world record speeds. As a Project Engineer on this team, you will support defining business objectives, establishing metrics, and improvement opportunities for the team through project coordination, project data management, analysis and process improvement projects. At Tesla we are relentless in our pursuit to delete, reduce, simplify, optimize, and automating our projects and this role will play a key role in expanding on these core values. The successful candidate will be a self-starter; motivated, and able to building relationships quickly. Ideally this candidate has experience in establishing or working in a PMO and experience in the building engineering/ construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Support the engineering project team via project data management, analysis, developing productivity improvement tools, templates, and reporting systems to drive business outcomes, decisions and improvements
• Support the project management team by managing project data such as project action log, mtg notes, risk log, change log, project status, leading meetings, and supporting documentation
• Contribute to planning and execution of strategic initiatives with key stakeholders to deliver/manage operations and processes
• Assist Engineering Project Managers with driving small scale infrastructure projects as required

Requirements

• Degree in engineering field or equivalent experience
• 4 years of experience as a project engineer, program manager, project analyst
• Experience in data analysis, modeling, SQL, AzureDevops, and presentation development
• Experience with building engineering or construction projects highly preferred
• Excellent communication & presentation skills and ability influence cross-functional teams
• Ability to work independently in an ambiguous environment
