The Network Engineer will ensure the security, performance, availability and scalability of the organizations voice and data network. Responsibilities include the design, installation, monitoring, maintenance, and support of LAN, WAN, WLAN, VLAN and VoIP related infrastructure and configurations. The Network Engineer provides high-level technical support for voice and data network systems, creates and maintains network documentation, maintains hardware and software standards, network redundancy and high availability, applicable disaster recovery and business continuity plans, security operations and works projects as needed in order to upgrade to new and/or improved communication equipment and procedures. Must be well versed with the advanced engineering and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems. This position is responsible for QoS and VLAN configurations and designs. This position requires excellent problem management and customer service skills.

The Network Engineer will be responsible for managing and reporting on day-to-day tasks associated with the deployment and installation of the monitoring and asset management systems. They will review the development of policy and procedures for maintaining the monitoring and asset management systems. This position will be responsible for coordinating and leading in the design, testing, evaluation, implementation, and support for multiple complex platforms of large size and complexity (hardware, operating systems, software, and systems tools). They will utilize tools focused on configuration management, deployment, and automation. They must understand how data flows through business system and have the ability to understand business applications and how they interact with the system infrastructure including knowledge of storage and security. The Network Engineer leads in providing consultation and direct technical support in life cycle planning, problem management, integration, and systems programming.

Essential Functions:
Ensure the security, performance, availability and scalability of the organizations voice and data network
Design, install, monitor, maintain and support LAN, WAN, WLAN, VLAN and VoIP related infrastructure and configurations
Provide high-level technical support for voice and data network systems
Create and maintain network documentation
Maintain hardware and software standards, network redundancy and high availability, applicable disaster recovery and business continuity plans
Perform root cause analysis to quickly recover from service interruptions, and to prevent recurring problems
Participate in projects to enhance and improve communication and network equipment and procedures
Must be well versed with the advanced engineering and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems
Manage QoS and VLAN configurations and designs
Keep abreast of industry and technology trends
Implement changes to voice and network devices with minimal impact to the business by following internal and industry standards and procedures
Coordinate activities with internal and external (vendor) stakeholders and service providers
Understand technical/business requirements gathered from internal stakeholders
Work closely with other stakeholders to configure network and voice devices in support of products and initiatives
Provide on-site and on-call 7x24x365 support, as needed, within the Network Engineering team
Implement complex hardware and firmware releases, upgrades, and changes into voice and network environments
Exhibit excellent problem management and customer service skills
Exhibit professional verbal and written communication skills; provide superior customer service at every level of the credit union

Job QualificationsMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Required Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent
5+ years' experience designing and supporting data networks
5+ years' experience managing DHCP and DNS within Microsoft environments
5+ years' experience managing switches, routers, and security devices within Cisco environments
5+ years' experience managing WiFi
2+ years' experience managing security devices including firewalls and VPN
1+ years' experience supporting networks that include voice services
Capable of providing basic level troubleshooting of enterprise (data center switches, routers, firewall, VPN), edge (branch, enterprise), and end user voice and network devices.
Experience applying network architecture, designs, and configurations
Experience with scripting languages commonly used for automating network tasks such as Python, Microsoft Powershell, and others
Demonstrated experience with network optimization, Layer 2 and 3 switching, routing protocols, packet sniffing/analyzing, network capacity management, wireless, LAN WAN WLAN, VLAN, and fiber optics.
Demonstrated experience of working with routing protocols (e.g., EIGRP, BGP) and common topologies
Demonstrated advanced experience with TCP/IP
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Complies with all Credit Union policies and procedures including those related to Bank Secrecy Act regulations.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
CCNA or CCNP certification
Meraki experience
CISSP experience
Experience with PowerShell, utilizing built scripts to help do more centralized management and coordination
