You will be responsible for developing and maintaining our Data Vault and dimensional data models, ensuring the enterprise cloud data warehouse reflects business concepts and processes. Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain data warehouse models that are scalable, efficient, and aligned with business objectives.
- Develop and optimize complex Data Vault models to meet business and technical requirements.
- Work with Snowflake to build and manage cloud-based data warehouses and ensure data is accurate, timely, and reliable.
- Collaborate with business analysts and other stakeholders to gather data requirements and provide data solutions that drive decision-making.
- Build and maintain automated ETL/ELT pipelines that facilitate data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple sources.
- Troubleshoot, monitor, and resolve data-related issues across the pipeline.
- Create and optimize dashboards using tools like Sisense to provide actionable insights to end-users.
- Ensure data governance, quality, and security policies are followed throughout the data pipeline.
- Provide guidance on best practices for data modeling, database design, and performance optimization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience working directly with relational databases, SQL, and data transformation techniques.
- Proficiency in Snowflake or other cloud data warehousing software.
- Experience in data modeling, including familiarity with the Data Vault methodology and dimensional modeling.
- Experience in building and maintaining ELT pipelines using modern data engineering and reverse ETL tools.
- Strong experience with dashboarding tools like Sisense, Power BI, or Tableau for visualization and reporting.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, manage their own projects, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage large datasets and complex data structures.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification
- Certified Data Vault 2.0 Practitioner
- Experience with GitHub for version control
- Experience with scripting languages like Python, Java, or Scala
- Experience building or maintaining interactive data apps using Streamlit
- Experience working on a team that utilizes the Agile Methodology
