Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Infrastructure Management
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, DAS, and cloud systems (e.g., Microsoft 365).
  • Implement and maintain network solutions, including wireless backhaul installations, Layer 3 switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Ensure infrastructure systems meet business requirements for availability, performance, and reliability.
  • Manage hardware/software upgrades, patch management, and system integrations.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, capacity, and costs.

2. Team Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT professionals.
  • Assign and prioritize tasks to ensure timely project completion and issue resolution.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance reviews and identify training and development needs.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices and maintain high service standards.

3. Security and Compliance
  • Ensure IT system security through firewalls, access controls, and security services.
  • Regularly review and update IT policies and procedures to align with cybersecurity insurance requirements.
  • Conduct security audits and implement system improvements.
  • Monitor and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect against evolving threats.

4. Strategic Planning
  • Develop and implement an IT infrastructure strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Research and recommend new technologies to enhance operations and efficiency.
  • Prepare and manage the IT infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage relationships with MSPs, hardware/software vendors, and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts and oversee procurement processes.

5. Collaboration and Support
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex infrastructure issues, providing advanced troubleshooting support.
  • Ensure seamless IT support across the organization with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service to end-users.


Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, including hands-on experience with servers, networking, data storage, and cloud technologies.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.

Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with virtualization platforms (e.g., vSphere, Hyper-V) and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and security best practices.
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Server Management.
  • Experience with monitoring tools, ITIL processes, and disaster recovery planning.

Certifications (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
