We are growing and are looking to add a Technical Account Manager, based in Illinois, to cover the Great Lakes area.

Summary:
Technical Account Manager (TAM) is a technical sales role - applying a deep understanding of engineered material technologies, customer & technical service capabilities, on-going sales and marketing strategies, customer projects and priorities into daily activities directed towards achieving sales goals.
What You Will Do Everyday:
- Balance existing and new account responsibilities - meeting or exceeding individual performance and growth goals for your assigned geographic territory across aerospace, electronics, military and other key industry segments.
- Employ consultative value and solution-selling approaches across multiple levels and functions of customer organizations.
- Organize, prioritize and plan for the needs of new business initiatives.
- Provide ongoing relationship management.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Position will equate to approximately 60/40 existing accounts to new business.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Two or more years of composite material and process technology work experience or equivalent technical material sales required.
- Aerospace or adhesive experience is strongly preferred.
- A drive to develop contacts, make relationships and build sales.
- Technical acumen and ability to quickly learn new techniques and develop application insight.
- Ability to travel > 50% of the time to client facilities in the US.
