Overview
As a member or the hospital executive leadership team, reporting to the VP of Finance Operations, the Finance Director oversees the financial operations of the hospital entity. This role provides strategic leadership in financial planning/forecasting, capital planning, budgeting, financial reporting, as well as ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements within a highly matrixed organization.
This role will have direct oversight of two hospitals within our Regional Delivery System, Presbyterian Espanola Hospital and Santa Fe Medical Center.

Presbyterian's Regional Delivery System is a network of six hospitals and medical centers throughout rural New Mexico including locations in Clovis, Espanola, Ruidoso, Santa Fe, Socorro and Tucumcari. Our regional facilities are home to more than 1,600 clinical and non-clinical employees who help make Presbyterian the state's largest private employer with nearly 14,000 statewide employees. Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a related field required.
- Masters degree in Hospital Administration or Business Administration preferred.
- 5 years of progressive experience in hospital finance operations, in leadership positions preferred.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Work with a high degree of independence and possess strong judgment.
- This position does require you to be on-site in New Mexico.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and compliance. Collaborate with executive leadership to offer financial insights for decision-making and organizational growth.
- Lead initiatives to implement operational efficiencies.
- Oversee daily operating results to ensure that revenues, expenses, and labor are within performance targets.
- Partner on the development of new business by analyzing the feasibility of new programs and advise management of the financial prospects.
- Manage the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Supervise and develop the finance team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- Oversee financial risk management, internal controls, and audit functions. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
