About the Role

The Infrastructure team performs many duties: security, infrastructure, access control, automation (test, build, validation), observability, audit frameworks, core code development, data warehousing, and architecture. We function primarily as a platform team that provides the core components for our application teams.

This role is for our sub-team that handles mostly our application facing services. This includes things like our authentication and authorization layer, observability in services, and well formed infrastructure as code. This sub-team also functions as an educational resource for our other teams in regards to platform level concerns.

This role will also have some development responsibilities, writing code for our frontend and backend, particularly where it relates to providing authentication and authorization functionality.

Responsibilities
  • Full stack development/ownership of core AuthN/AuthZ systems throughout our ecosystem (using Auth0)
  • External and internal tooling/automation
  • Simplification of development for the organization at large; ensuring that we comply with security needs and have appropriate CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-code.


Additional Responsibilities
  • Work closely with other engineers and product teams to ensure that infrastructure solutions meet the needs of the business.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for automation to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Mentor and train other engineers on infrastructure and security best practices.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for infrastructure issues.


The stuff that makes you the ideal candidate
  • 4+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, mathematics, or a related discipline
  • Terraform experience
  • React (or similar)
  • Golang experience
  • Docker and Linux knowledge
  • Git-ops experience (Gitlab CI)
  • Security knowledge; authentication and authorization experience
  • AWS experience
  • Experience with "Big Data" applications (data lakes, Athena or similar)

Salary range: $100,000 - $140,000 per year DOE
