Job description
Plan and coordinate quality assurance program designed to insure continuous production of products consistent with established standards across the Business Unit (BU).
Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
Ensure processes in place, products and services delivered to customers are compliant with customers & regulatory & Safran requirements (during all the phases of product lifecycle).
1. Provide expert knowledge on regulatory and customer requirements
2. Support continuous improvement through the optimization of processes & organization, in accordance to operational excellence goal, Safran and Branch/Division Quality policy and strategy.
3. Develop the Quality Network of the BU, support Group, Branch and Division Quality Network.
4. Deploy quality targets through HK.
5. Promote, support and coach QRQC and Safran Problem Solving (SPS) within the BU.
6. Ensure, through his/her broad & independent authority, that all of our products and quality processes meet/exceed both regulatory requirements and customers' expectations.
7. When quality level is considered insufficient to meet customer expectations, or when infringing aviation regulation or when safety is involved, in case of the BU or RU has not made that appropriate decision:
a. Stop deliveries and propose / decide recall of products already delivered,
b. Limit or suspend the use of a supplier,
c. Freeze program quality gates.
8. Ensure communication to Management regarding Quality topics, including quality crisis, alerts and compliance risks
9. Ensure compliance with customers, regulatory, and Safran requirements

Qualifications:
Education -
Required: B.S.M.E. or B.S.Q.A. or equivalent
Experience:
Required: 7 - 10 Years in Supervision/Management of Quality Assurance Operations. AS9100 Experience. Knowledge of FAA regulations.
Preferred: 10 - 15 Years Supervision/Management of Quality Assurance Operations. 10 - 15 Years Experience with AS9100 and FAA regulations
Special Knowledge/Skills -
Required: Leadership skills - excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
FAA Regulations and AS9100.
Preferred: Plus knowledge of government specifications for Quality Assurance programs. Product/operation audits - Regulatory audit experience. FAA ODA Management experience or FAA DER or DAR experience
Annual salary
$150,000 - $175,000 depending on experience
