YOUR ROLE

You'll adopt a client-focused, value-driven approach across multiple business units to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling throughout the customer supply chain.You'll be leading proactive, consultative supply chain projects and solution development, utilizing the full range of Kuehne+Nagel offerings.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure training compliance as per defined training matrix (yourself + team, as applicable).
  • Proactive Qualification of opportunities in conjunction with Global Head of Supply Chan Design, Global Key Account Managers and Global BD Heads. Support go/no go process.
  • Responsible for the creation of a Kuehne+Nagel value proposition managing virtual, international teams with different disciplines (Business Units Operations, Key Accounting, Engineering, IT / IS, Centre of excellence etc.).
  • Client engagement, introduction of SCD Consulting methodology and obtaining buy in to proceed.
  • Delivers a compelling business case in terms of cost vs. return, risk and implementation time frame, formalizing clients strategic positioning, business model, operational model, AS-IS and TO-BE scenarios and enablers.
  • Prepare, organize and run Internal and Client White Board Sessions, aimed at understanding Clients supply chain strategies, needs and challenges as well as their future supply chain potential.
  • Engage the relevant Business Units for the creation of the Business Case incl. sustainability impacts, detailed proposal and pricing.
  • Discuss the value proposition with client, in conjunction with Global Key Account Managers and Business Unit, until final customer decision is received.
  • Design and execute CI programs that effectively leverage methodologies such as Lean, and Six Sigma to drive tactical and operational excellence.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor in their continuous improvement journey.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate continuous improvement principles into all aspects of service delivery.
  • Identify sustainability activities (SBTI avoid & reduce) in the Continuous Improvement projects and inject it as part of the Business Case.


YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, SCM or Engineering
  • 10 + years strategic Supply Chain Management knowledge including Forwarding and 4PL operational knowledge from LSP, Manufacturing or Consulting.
  • Proven experience utilizing process mapping and re-engineering methods (Six sigma, SCOR or alike preferred).

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
