  • Define and manage project timelines, ensuring milestones are delivered on time and within technical requirements.
  • Write detailed technical reports and provide progress updates to government stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with opto-mechanical, electronics and software engineering teams to prototype, test, and validate new technologies.
  • Initiate the transition to productization by working with the NPI team to refine processes and systems.
In one year, you will have:
  • Led the design, prototyping, and testing of a new spectroscopy platform, integrating software and hardware components.
  • Advanced new R&D opportunities for future government-funded programs.
Your background
  • A multidisciplinary engineer or scientist with strong Python development expertise, proficient in scientific computing libraries (e.g., NumPy, SciPy) and software development best practices.
  • A Ph.D. holder in Applied Physics, Physics, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field, with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven in managing complex multidisciplinary projects, including time and budget oversight, while meeting technical requirements.
  • Skilled in laboratory instrumentation, data analysis, and spectroscopy techniques, with experience in optical system design or scientific/medical device development.
  • An effective communicator, able to write detailed reports for government stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
  • Excited to work in dynamic environments, with a strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and a passion for driving innovation.
