Description
Noninvasive vascular technologist understands all aspects of vascular disease and performs different types of noninvasive vascular testing with accuracy and analytical skills, in accordance with BHSF and IAC standards. The technologist is responsible for the operation of the laboratory equipment, and for performing and communicating results of all types of noninvasive vascular testing to other healthcare providers. The technologist should maintain a high standard of medical ethics at all times and should be self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of vascular diseases as well as new procedures and applications as they evolve. The technologist provides clinical and technical resources to staff and students for career development purposes and registry preparedness where applicable. The technologist works with other technical team members and supervisors to develop technical and personal skills through one-on-one specific training and/or through clinical rotations. Estimated pay range for this position is $31.65 - $49.88 / hour depending on experience.

- ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist.
- Graduate from an accredited allied health program, preferably with separate track on cardiovascular ultrasonography.
- Registered Vascular Technologist RVT or Registered Vascular Specialist RVS.
- In addition to the required qualifications, candidate must meet one of the following: a) minimum 2 years of performing or assist in performing advanced noninvasive vascular procedures, including but not limited to image enhanced ultrasound of vascular structures, transcranial Doppler imaging routine and bubble study emboli detection, renal imaging for reno-vascular disease, portal-hepatic circulation, and venous and arterial evaluation pre -, intra-, and post- vascular surgeries and interventional procedures, or b) noninvasive vascular registry credentialed in abdominal testing RDMS (AB) or phlebology diseases (RPHS) by ARDMS or CCI required per entity and departmental standards.
