Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with the MD of SCD and the business units to improve efficiency and reduce risk through the development and deployment of new tools and technology, involving some combination of business analysis, system testing, and report development;
- Responsible for analyzing and synthesizing assigned business processes, identifying and addressing areas for improvement through pattern recognition, and documenting requirements in the form of flow charts and user stories. This would lead to collaborating with developers and using Agile methodologies to design, develop, test, implement, and finally support technical solutions;
- Develop proof-of-concept (POC) tools to explore and demonstrate their capabilities;
- Coordinate with the development team and user groups for testing to ensure that any new system features work properly, to diagnose issues, and to ensure that data is reliable and valid;
- Design and execute test cases and help coordinate the management of issues identified through their resolution;
- Works closely with all sources of data used for reporting and analysis, including both the pipeline management system and the servicing system to develop and implement various reporting and analytical solutions to meet the needs of the business areas;
- Meet with project team regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines;
- Support system conversions, upgrades, enhancements; and
- Other reasonable tasks and services in connection with your position.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering);
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel;
- Excellent organizational abilities and adeptness at juggling multiple tasks in a high-speed setting with various demands;
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset that involves offering suggestions and alternatives instead of waiting for directions;
- Willingness to take ownership of solutions developed and implemented;
- A can-do proactive attitude that can mean making suggestions and giving options rather than waiting for answers;
- Able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization; and
- 3+ years of experience in a similar position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in data visualization and modeling via PowerBi, SQL, Tableau or any other Data Visualization tool, and the willingness and ability to learn required tools outside of your skillset;
- Experience with Dynamics 365, HubSpot or Salesforce CRM strongly preferred;
- Prior experience in a similar role at a financial institution is preferred;
- Commercial Real Estate Finance knowledge is preferred;
- 2+ years of experience in Business Analysis; and
- 2+ years of experience with Agile application development practices.
