Emergency Medicine - Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
Outstanding opportunity for a motivated Advanced Health Practitioner to join our staff of
dynamic, highly regarded ED practitioners employed by Associated Physicians of Harvard
Medical Faculty Physicians (APHMFP) at the UMass-Harrington HealthCare System.
Provide direct patient care relative to physical diagnosis and therapeutic management for
patients in the Emergency Department working under the supervision of a licensed physician.
Over 40,000 combined annual ED visits
APPs provide both direct patient management and physician support in main ED

patients in south central Massachusetts and northeast Connecticut, with its main hospital
campus in Southbridge, MA and satellite ED in Webster, MA. The Emergency Departments at
Harrington HealthCare are staffed and managed by HMFP/APHMFP.
24-7 Emergency Department providing emergency care to all patients
Integrated PA/NP coverage at both campuses
Hospital association with designated stroke center, heart center, and level 1 trauma
center at UMass
24-hour Emergency Psychiatric Services coverage
Multi-specialty back-up available on call
Join the APHMFP Emergency Medicine network of practitioners clinically serving multiple community EDs affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) in Boston. Employs 175 emergency medicine physicians and advanced health practitioners Delivers care to over 350,000 patients annually (and growing!) Has clinical affiliations with a variety of health systems in the greater Eastern and Central Massachusetts region Job Requirements Holds Master's degree for Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner Has Massachusetts state licensure Holds or will imminently have valid MCSR and Federal DEA BLS/ACLS certified by American Heart Association Certification in PALS strongly preferred but not required Experience in an Emergency Department or Urgent Care Center is strongly preferred, though new graduates are considered Shows competency in provision of care to patients of all ages
