We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the Salaried Branch Manager, joining our Elkridge Maryland team!
  • SALARY: $74,800-$101,200 - not eligible for overtime
  • SCHEDULE: Monday- Friday, some weekends due to business demands.
  • BONUSES INCLUDED:

    • 20% of base for annual bonus potential. A plan document will be provided to you.

Job Summary:
Responsible and accountable for ethically supporting the Herr's mission by leading and coaching a team of District Managers, using key principles to achieve their district goals to align with corporate sales and profit goals. Enabling District Managers to increase district market penetration and development while maintaining a "Safety First" attitude.

  • Qualifications You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred; and two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two or more years' experience in a branch or operations management role preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in ability to look well ahead with vision to forecast future opportunities and problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to reach goals and objectives by deadlines, with ability to manage operations when performance deviates from plan and executes corrective measures.
  • Experience in the snack food industry preferred
  • Must possess a valid driver's license in the current state of residence with an excellent driving record.

Key Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):
Sales and Operations Management:
  • Establishing, analyzing and measuring regional sales objectives. Preparing detailed business plans projecting sales volume and outlining sales objective attainment.
  • Ensuring District Managers and route sales employees are fully equipped with the tools, resources and product to meet sales objectives.
  • Establishes and adjusts selling prices and product mix by keeping current with regional competition. Executing company sponsored sales incentives and developing incentives unique to region.
  • Recruiting and retaining a fully staffed and engaged team. Developing and preserving a steady talent pool of valuable talent. Driving the development and career advancement of District Managers and route sales employees.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key customers. Conducting store visits/sales solicitation with District Managers and RSP's to increase business.
  • Develop and manage sales and pricing budget.
  • Champion and/or lead all Company-sponsored training.
  • Manages 3 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 18-22 employees

The employee is also expected to perform other related duties, special projects and functions as required from time to time.

Physical Demands:
  • Frequently driving, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, balancing, and lifting and reaching using fine manipulation
  • Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposed to outside weather elements.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

Leads a team of District Managers (3), Warehouse Manager (1), Mechanic (1), and Administrative Assistant (1). May also have reports on the sales and sales support staff.
