The mission of the Oncology Nursing Foundation is to support cancer nursing excellence. Since 1981, the Oncology Nursing Foundation, through generous contributions from individuals and institutions, has provided more than $32 million in funding to support oncology nursing education, research, and leadership development. This funding has translated to career development awards, academic scholarships, research grants, a myriad of specialized educational initiatives, as well as nurse resiliency support. The Foundation's activities have played a critical role in improving patient care and advancing the oncology nursing profession.
The Director of Corporate Engagement manages a dedicated team that plans and oversees the ONS fundraising and corporate engagement activities to support ONS strategic priorities and national conferences.
This is a full-time REMOTE (work-from-home) position. Occasional travel to the ONS Headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA throughout the year will be required.

Pay Range:
Oncology Nursing Society Enterprise (ONSE) uses a market-based approach to pay. Pay rates are established considering the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified periodically based on market analysis.

Responsibilities
- Serves as the principal relationship manager responsible for developing and expanding support from pharmaceutical, oncology institutions, biotech, medical device industries and other new markets for the ONS.
- Oversees and mentors staff in driving enterprise-wide funding initiatives, partnering with cross-functional teams to understand organizational needs, address gaps, and capitalize on strategic opportunities.
- Provide innovative approaches and direction for ONS initiatives/projects using clinical, healthcare, sales and project management expertise
- Acts as the main point of contact for industry leads and engaged corporate sponsors. Represents the Corporate Engagement team on the project team while ensuring that funder needs are met.
- Lead the development and delivery of strategic funding initiatives to key strategic partners, such as industry stakeholders, patient advocacy groups, governmental agencies, and other potential supporters.
- Facilitates meetings of corporate groups (eg Corporate Council) to communicate ONS priorities and finding points of mutual interest or concern with attendees
- Establishes and maintains regular account contact using virtual meeting platforms, phone, email writing, and in-person visits during conferences.
- Evaluates potential new projects and industry partnerships for appropriateness with the ONS mission and works cross-functionally to present ideas for potential funding opportunities.
- Provides suggestions and input for project development based on industry/customer insights and leads customer project planning cycle to ensure assigned customer' needs and expectations are met.
- Identifies and develops Business Development opportunities through regular networking with industry and healthcare organizations. Communicates opportunities for exploration while following defined internal processes.
- Identifies, evaluates, and recommends new sources of sponsorship and grant-funded corporate sponsorship and project-specific revenue.
- Collaborates with cross-functional ONS teams to provide content contribution to build proposals.
- Attends professional society and industry meetings solely or with other staff or volunteer representatives.
Leadership: Director - Individual Contributor
- Monitors annual budgets and corresponding sponsored and grant-funded projects to ensure that revenue goals are met.
- Collaborates with the Oncology Nursing Foundation on fundraising targets and strategies
- Creates and maintains an effective record-keeping system for external customers.
- Provides reports on effectiveness and estimated revenue value of professional relationships.
- Ensures external funder compliance and recognition standards are met.
- Demonstrates and supports a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills with demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence both credibly and effectively at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level.
- Proficiency in data analysis and storytelling to craft a compelling narrative
- Demonstrated self-starter, strategic thinker, and ability to work collaboratively in a team atmosphere.
- Proven ability to lead and manage competing tasks independently and efficiently.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree required in nursing, healthcare, or related field
- 5-7 years of sales or account management experience
- Pharmaceutical, medical device, or oncology healthcare experience is preferred
- Nursing experience or education is preferred
