Required: Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) State licensure
Certifications:
ARRT National Radiology License, Basic Life Support
Must-Have:
- Basic operations of Linear Accelerators such as Varian Truebeam, Trilogy, Acuity, and GE Lightspeed CT
- Proficiency in SBRT, SRS, and Breathhold Visual Management
- Fast-paced environment capability, treating 70-95 patients daily across three treatment machines
Job Description:
- Simulate and administer radiation treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist
- Interpret prescriptions and treatment plans accurately
- Complete patient identification processes as per department procedure
- Maintain audio and visual surveillance of patients during treatment
- Consistently and accurately position patients for treatment
- Image patients as directed by the Radiation Oncologist
- Annotate portal images accurately and consistently
- Monitor for side effects of radiation, behavioral changes, or unusual reactions and report to appropriate personnel
- Use a digital camera to document treatment positions and markings on the patient's skin
- Safely transfer patients using proper body mechanics and techniques
- Perform RadCalc calculations for emergency treatments
- Construct quality immobilization devices for reproducible patient positioning
- Accurately and visibly tattoo patients as appropriate
- Participate in daily chart rounds to coordinate patient care
- Complete Aria chart checks per policy
- Perform weekly block room cleaning and HEPA filter checks, and document accordingly
- Accurately fabricate custom blocks
- Coordinate simulation with the clinic to support continuity of care
