Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the Management of the full product development lifecycle and successful market launch and expansion.
- Own the financial P&L for Commercial Doors including monitoring key performance metrics.
- Manage existing Commercial door product lines and 3-year roadmap.
- Drives the development of business cases which define the product value proposition to support product roadmap investments in collaboration with business partners.
- Analyze market situations, and develop appropriate pricing strategies for current and new products.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitive analysis and macro-industry trends
- Determine the new product development roadmap as well as the customer requirements, launch commercialization and financial returns.
- Explore and develop new opportunities - through products, branding, channels, processes, technologies, etc. Link to existing product strategies and overall strategic plan.
Qualifications
- 3 to 7 years of product management experience; should include knowledge of manufacturing environment and sales organizations/ channels, preferably in consumer durable or packaged goods
- Business development and product marketing background, with experience developing product plans and strategy work
- Solid problem-solving skills, creativity, and ability to break down a situation into pieces that can be resolved by the team
- Experience in Leveraging brand marketing, market research, sales training, and field communications
- Computer literate in MS Office products
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills - for both internal groups as well as clients and trade groups/ seminars
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Action and results oriented
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering. MBA a plus
