The Head, Enterprise Data is responsible for comprehensive oversight of CFA Institute's data and analytics initiatives and for transforming data into strategic insights. This role oversees data governance, data engineering, analytics, and data science teams, and ensures the effective collection, management, and utilization of data. The ideal candidate should possess a strong blend of strategic vision, technical expertise, and leadership skills.
The position may be based in eligible jurisdictions in the Eastern time zone in the United States and reports to the CTO. It is eligible for hybrid/remote work arrangements.
This position will involve approximately 10-15% travel.

Expected salary Range: $190,000 -$220,000 per year
Other benefits include eligibility for annual incentives, 12%/ 401K pension employer contribution, and competitive medical benefits.

What You'll Do
- Develop and lead a cohesive data strategy, governance framework, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with CFA Institute's mission and business goals.
- Oversee data architecture and infrastructure, enabling systems and business teams to leverage data effectively for decision-making and customer service.
- Drive innovation by implementing and monitoring KPIs to measure Enterprise Data Strategy maturity and ensuring long-term business success.
What We're Looking For
- A seasoned data leader with 10-15 years of experience in IT and data analytics including 5-10 years in leading and coaching diverse technical teams.
- Working knowledge of AI/Machine Learning.
- Strong expertise in Azure and AWS cloud frameworks.
- Hands-on technical experience with Snowflake.
- A strategic thinker with outstanding problem-solving, consulting, and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and Board members.
- A hands-on leader with a strong background in IT solution delivery, architecture, and business integration.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, System Analysis, or a related field (Master's preferred).
