The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Maintains 24 hour-a-day accountability for all patient care and nursing activities on assigned outpatient unit. Oversees and directs unit activities including standards development, human resource management, assessment of resource needs and utilization, staff development and communication within nursing practice as well as among other disciplines and departments. Oversees all performance improvement activities at the unit level and participates in committees at all levels within the institution.
Full time 40 hours.
Seeking an individual with demonstrated leadership, clinical, and management skills, with a desire to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment. Individual will assume management responsibility for outpatient bone marrow transplant nursing operations encompassing apheresis, BMT infusion, and BMT nurse coordinators. The manager is responsible for staffing, quality of nursing care, and managing practice changes to meet patient needs. This position is pivotal in managing the clinical and administrative functions of a rapidly growing area. The work is dynamic, with flexibility and adaptability as key attributes for all team members. Must exhibit excellent communication skills, creativity, and the ability to focus on teamwork and patient outcomes. Ability to work with an interdisciplinary team is essential to the success in the role.
MS required or with-in 5 years of appointment. 3-5 years of Bone Marrow Transplant and leadership experience preferred. Certification preferred.
