Job Summary:
The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will lead the company's budgeting, forecasting, lender reporting, and financial analysis functions. In close collaboration with finance and executive leadership, this role is responsible for managing financial data and delivering strategic insights that drive business growth. The Director will spearhead the transformation of financial information into actionable analytics, providing critical support for key business decisions and long-term strategy.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and oversee the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function, developing and implementing systems, processes, and tools that align with and support organizational goals.
- Drive the enhancement of financial modeling, analytical capabilities, and decision-support for key business initiatives and strategic planning efforts.
- Establish and maintain a robust budgeting and forecasting process, including the development of comprehensive financial statement models and 3-year strategic plans, culminating in monthly operating reviews (MOR) for senior leadership and the board.
- Develop a deep understanding of the company's operations, identifying critical risks, opportunities, and competitive factors to inform strategic decision-making.
- Manage and mentor a high-performing team that works closely with operational leaders to deliver financial insights, monthly performance reviews, and ad-hoc reporting.
- Oversee the 13-week cash flow forecasting process, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to lender covenant and borrowing base compliance.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to optimize financial processes, reporting systems, and forecasting methodologies, while driving accountability through regular performance scorecard reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and enhance accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting practices to ensure alignment across the organization.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting support as requested by the CFO.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with a demonstrated aptitude for presenting complex financial information to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a focus on delivering actionable insights.
- Highly organized with a proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with expertise in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and up-to-date accounting principles.
- Expertise in advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas, and macros.
- Extensive experience utilizing Power Query for data transformation, process automation, and report generation.
- Proficient in creating executive-level presentations in PowerPoint, effectively filtering complex data into clear, impactful visual summaries.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Over 5 years of progressively responsible experience in FP&A, Accounting, or Finance, with a strong focus on financial planning, analysis, modeling, and reporting.
- In-depth experience with financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prior experience in a private equity-backed environment is preferred.
- Prior experience working with an organization implementing a new ERP system preferred.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- 10 years experience working in finance, accounting, auditing, or a related field.
- Proven leadership experience in middle management or other roles within the finance department or field.
- a BA in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field of study.
- Additional designation such as Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are a plus
