Join the dynamic and innovative team at Media Source, Inc., home to AKJ Education, Junior Library Guild, The Horn Book, Library Journal, and School Library Journal. We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior FP&A Analyst to help shape the financial future of our organization. This primarily remote position requires residency in the Austin, TX metropolitan area, with flexibility to meet the CFO in person in both Austin, TX, and Columbus, OH as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Budgetary Expertise: Prepare annual budgets, short and long-term forecasts, and management financial reports for the entire company and specific lines of business.
  • Strategic Analytics: Develop and implement strategies for business operations, including reporting, procurement, staffing, resource planning, budgeting, reforecasting, and capital projects analysis.
  • Performance Metrics: Provide management with dashboards and financial metrics on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, tracking KPIs to drive business results.
  • Cost Management: Identify opportunities for cost reduction, margin improvement, inventory management, and return on investment analysis.
  • Financial Modeling: Prepare integrated income statements, balance sheets, cash flow projections, and valuation models and forecasts.
  • Reporting Excellence: Develop and maintain internal and external financial and management reporting for various stakeholders, including Management, Board, Bank, and Investors.
  • Policy and Procedure: Develop and maintain financial policies, controls, and procedures.


Experience/Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent.
  • 5 to 7 years of accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting experience.
  • CPA/CFA or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Prior FP&A experience in a Private Equity Portfolio Company is a strong plus.
  • Expert proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data analytics platforms such as Power BI, Business Object, Hyperion Essbase, SAP Analytics, etc.
  • Familiarity with Revenue Recognition rules and requirements is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and team-management skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic remote work environment.
