JOB SUMMARY

The Student Recruitment and Engagement Manager will drive the recruitment and retention of TK-12 scholars. In this role, the Student Recruitment and Engagement Manager will ensure the growth of Aspire's scholar community through dynamic recruitment campaigns, engaging family outreach events, and partnership with local organizations. This role will manage targeted recruitment campaigns, create engaging content for social media, and organize family engagement events, all aimed at promoting Aspire's mission to transform inequitable outcomes in education.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Recruitment-Focused Brand Management
  • Design, implement, and manage recruitment campaigns targeting TK-12 scholars and their family interest, ensuring alignment with Aspire's mission.
  • Develop recruitment materials, such as flyers, brochures, and email newsletters, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding.
  • Collaborate with Aspire's leadership, marketing, admissions, and academic teams to ensure alignment on recruitment goals and strategies.
  • Provide input on student recruitment strategies during schoolwide planning meetings and collaborate on cross-functional projects to promote the growth of Aspire's scholar community.
  • Partner with school administrators and support staff to develop engagement strategies that enhance student retention and strengthen family connection to the Aspire community.


Content and Campaign Creation
  • Manage outreach platforms and tools, such as social media and email marketing, to maximize campaign reach and engagement.
  • Create engaging, culturally-responsive content for digital and print media that effectively communicates Aspire's values and educational programs.
  • Manage Aspire's social media presence through posting regular updates, event announcements, and campaign materials to boat community awareness and interest.


Family and Community Engagement
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective families, ensuring timely communication and engagement throughout the recruitment and enrollment process.
  • Organize and lead family outreach events, such as open houses, information sessions, and school tours, aimed at fostering connections between prospective families and Aspire.
  • Collaborate with community-based organizations to build partnerships that promote student recruitment and retention.
  • Partner with school administrators and support staff to organize events and programs that support current families and ensure their continued satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local community leaders, educational organizations, and other partners to enhance Aspire's visibility and drive scholar recruitment.
  • Attend local community events, education fairs, and recruitment fairs to represent Aspire LA.


Data Tracking and Analysis
  • Monitor and report on recruitment metrics, such as inquiry-to-enrollment conversion rates, event attendance, and campaign performance, to inform recruitment strategies and meet enrollment goals.
  • Track and analyze recruitment data to assess campaign effectiveness and adjust strategies to meet regions recruitment goals.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of, and support, the Aspire Public Schools mission, vision, value statements including antiracism, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior
  • This position may also require periodic travel to school sites in order to interact with school leaders.
  • Perform other related duties as required to support the success of Aspire's Los Angeles region.

QUALIFICATIONS

Competencies:
  • The Student Recruitment and Engagement Manager must share Aspire Los Angeles' commitment to dismantling systemic racism and integrating the three A's (antiracism, academics, agency) into every aspect of the region's educational system and their role.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with local community organizations, families, and prospective scholars to drive recruitment efforts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate Aspire's mission, vision and educational approach to various audiences.
  • Proven track record of promoting equity, inclusion, and anti-racism practices within scope of work


Minimum education level:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Education, or related field.

Experience required:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in recruitment, community engagement; preferably in TK-12 education.
  • Experience creating successful recruitment campaigns that have driven measurable results in student enrollment and retention.
  • Experience using multiple outreach platforms, including social media, email, and community outreach.

Physical requirements:
  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.


Work authorization requirements:
  • Clear the Department of Justice background screening
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Provide health (TB) clearance (renewed every four years)

Compensation Based on Years of Experience in the Role- $90,000- $115,000
